Why Evaluate? Why be evaluated? How to find the evaluation form and send it to your speaker (and load up your evaluation resources - Previously into Pathways)
Evaluation is your third part of project 2 in level 1. You need to do this if you want to enter the evaluation contest. Many Toastmasters meetings are short of evaluators. Form a pair with somebody from your club. Go to other meetings as a pair and evaluate each other's speeches.

Allow time to search.
If you have time, download all the form for the path you are on. Print out all of them, or at least the next one. I print out two. I keep one blank to send to anybody the first or second time I do this project or to send to myself and the evaluator.
I fill one out as the evaluator does the spoken evaluation. Then I can immediately correct my speech (for example if the evaluator suggests, look for a quotation to start, I can do so straight away. this is extra important if you plan to re-use your speech outside toastmasters or in a contest. Also I sometimes cannot read my handwriting later. So it is better to act on the suggestions immediately.
What'sApp does not have the ability to forward an evaluation form you have filled in online. It re-sends the link so that what you receive is the blank evaluation form.
Ask the evaluator to send it to your gmail instead.
How it was:
You would find it helpful to keep all your evaluations and speech notes in the folder in your pathways base camp.
This is what you do.
Supposing you want to add the evaluation form which has been sent to you r mobile phone through whatsapp.
Open WhatsApp on your laptop/big screen.
Save the evaluation form by downloading it.
Rename it short enough to load up.
Go to Pathways base camp.
Go into your Pathway.
On the far right of your screen there are three headings, the last of which is my documents.
Open it. You want to upload a file. So click on file.
Highlight the file you want.
Click on add file.
What could go wrong?
When I tried it, I got a message, file name too long. The sender, my evaluation, had given the date, my full name, the project, the word resources, the evaluation form number .
I could either download it again and rename it. Or simply rename the downloaded form.
Then I might try to delete the message file to long. I could not do that. So I instead cancelled.
I loaded up again using the new, shorter file name.
I clicked on it to open it and be sure I could read it.
Voila!
Now you can create another file listing all your projects for the VPE.
When you have learned to do it, do it three times.
Update!
The Toastmasters International website apparently kept crashing because too many pieces of information were uploaded with many evaluations from every meeting. So the system has changed and you are now (from 2021) asked to keep your evaluation all in one place in a folder on your own computer.
